Investigating the vegetation's temporal–spatial response to meteorological and hydrogeological drought in drylands

As the most constraining environmental factor of vegetation development in arid areas, soil moisture is mainly supplied by precipitation and groundwater resources. Considering varying sensitivity different plant communities to groundwater-induced water shortages, communities' management requires study effects both meteorological hydrogeological droughts on vegetation. Therefore, this sought model indices obtained from MODIS satellite images Sirjan plain 2000 2019. To end, were first identified separated based extensive field operations, taking into account Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) Condition (VCI) at scale. Then, drought was calculated using Standardized Precipitation (SPI) also measured Groundwater Resource (GRI) via Kriging technique. Finally, relationship modelled Multivariate Linear Regression (MLR). The results revealed that SPI a 6-month time scale (as an important index) played significant role elaborating changes VCI eight out 18 ones scale, acting as strong reliable estimator. Moreover, 61.6% Artemisia sieberi-Seidlitzia rosmarinus community explained with GRI indicating dependence precipitation. Nonetheless, some (i.e. six cases) unresponsive. These findings draw our attention importance considering special reaction each management.
